3 Tips to Boost Self-Confidence
Do you lack self-confidence? Finding self-confidence is a challenge for many men, so consider these tips to boost self-confidence from CEO Scott Binsack, who’s also a life coach and mentor.
Insecurity is a very common problem amongst us guys and the result is very unflattering. We can get clingy, paranoid and even downright nasty to others.
But there are a few things you can do to improve your self-confidence.
Boost Self-Confidence – Change Your Body Language
Body language is a big component of confidence. Self-confident individuals stand tall, make eye contact and smile often, so start doing this yourself. Stand tall and walk with confidence. Make eye contact when speaking to others. And don’t forget to smile!
At first, it may feel awkward and disingenuous, but over time, it will feel more natural and authentic. This is one area where “fake it until you make it” actually does work.
Boost Self-Confidence – Get Positive
Insecurities can arise from negativity. So make a concerted effort to stay positive in everything that you say, think and do. This can be very challenging at first, especially if you’re not a naturally positive person, but over time, you’ll find that positive thinking becomes habit. This will help to combat many of the negativities that can give rise to the insecurities and worries that sap your self-confidence. Banishing that negative voice in your head will go a long way toward cultivating confidence.
Boost Self-Confidence – Count Your Blessings
Take some time to write out a list of your accomplishments, blessings and positive traits. It may sound a bit corny, but this sort of list can prove to be a very helpful pick-me-up if you’re feeling insecure and less-than-confident.
With these tips, you’ll be well on your way to improving your self-confidence and happiness!
